Several sightseeing excursions available at Ensenada. We went to a beach area and drove along the scenic Gold Coast and also a short tour of Ensenada including the historical buildings. Ensenada offers visitors sea, mountain, valley and desert areas. There is a shopping area near where the cruise ships dock. We could either walk or take a bus, so very convenient. At sea

Time to take advantage of the ships amenities. Gyms, pools, Camp Carnival for the kids,  shops, etc. Lots of activities like crafts, the casino and the shows each evening were very entertaining.

Lots of dining options from formal dining room to buffets. Carnival also has a healthy option on their menu, which is a good way to keep in shape. Walking the stairs instead of taking the elevator also can give you a good work out on the ship. In lots of ships the gym is at the front of the ship, so a great place to work out and watch the scenery go by.

These short cruises tend to have more families as they are a shorter length of time and we met lots of people from California who just went for a short getaway, since it was close and reasonably priced. Ah, to live close to the ocean and have this option. This is a great way to see if cruising is for you, take a short vacation, or if you are in Los Angeles area it’s a great 3-4 day add on to your trip.
