Summer 2010 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Spring snow storm
We return from Mexico every year to spend spring & summer in Calgary. This doesn’t exactly meet my requirements for “Summer” and this was just one of several snow storms this spring.
Fortunately we don’t return for the weather, but rather to see our family and friends.
We had an incredibly delicious Easter dinner at Greg’s Uncle Hans’s house, where the Easter Bunny dropped off many mouth watering Bernard Callibault chocolates.
Here, Evelynn (with Oma in the background) patiently awaiting Easter Dinner.

Evelynn & Oma, Easter Dinner
Since the weather was far too miserable to move to our summer home – aka the trailer, we spent our time at the duplex.
I was back to work at Blue Grass Nursery within a few days of my return, and Don got busy finishing the rest of the suite.
He re-built the bedrooms, installed laminate flooring, drop ceiling, and built a little den off the bedrooms.
I met up with Pam & Owen & Evan one day after work and we took them to Calaway Park amusement park
Evan thoroughly enjoyed himself on the teacup ride, made us very dizzy, spinning the teacup as fast as his little arms would allow.
After we had been on all the rides we could handle for one night, we treated them to candy apple, something they had never tried before

Owen riding a horse at Our Lady of Peace Ranch
We did allow ourselves a little time off from working and renovating and went to a BBQ with Pam and the boys at Our Lady Peace Ranch.
A beautiful place just outside of Bragg Creek, we went for a hay ride, and the boys got to go for a horseback ride. Unfortunately, the weather turned a little nasty, thunder & lightning, so we missed going on the boat ride. Maybe next year.
Next outing was a trip to the Zoo with Evelynn’s daycare class.
Lot's of new attractions there, dinosaurs in the Prehistoric Park that move and roar, and a new mariposa (butterfly house)
