Juneau is the capital city of Alaska. Juneau is located in the Panhandle of Southeast Alaska, 900 air miles north of Seattle and 600 air miles southeast of Anchorage. The economy is based on government, tourism, mining, and fishing.
Juneau is the Gateway to Glacier Bay National Park and Tracy Arm Fjord. Visit Mendenhall Glacier, one of Juneau’s most popular attractions.
Shop for souvenirs, go dog sledding, whale watching etc. Juneau area offers excellent wildlife watching opportunities for whales, brown bears and eagles just minutes away.
