We boarded the McKinley Explorer train en route to Denali National Park. Then we took the Tundra Wilderness Tour, which was about 6-8 hours long.
Denali National Park and Preserve is a great place to see Alaska’s natural wonders. This is a scenic park, a wonderful place to view wildlife in its natural environment. You might see grizzly bears, wolves, Dall Sheep, caribou, moose, eagles and more.
The incredible Mt. McKinley, located in the park, at 20,320 feet is North America’s tallest mountain. If you have time, hiking and wilderness experiences are available. There are also nature trails and short walk if your time is limited here.
We got back on the McKinley Explorer from Denali National Park to Anchorage. This is approximately 8 hours.
